Social Inclusion in Education

Now in its 3rd year, the Social Inclusion in Education Conference examines the implementation of social inclusion policy across the Australian Higher Education sector and the impact and implications of student equity targets for universities.

In 2012, the Higher Education sector will be lifting caps on student enrolments to university enabling increased student demand and promoting increased accessibility and participation for low SES and disadvantaged students.

The ongoing reforms and shifting dynamics across the sector present the perfect opportunity to discuss how government and universities are developing evidence-based strategies to improve the presence of low SES and disadvantaged groups in tertiary eduction.
