Group Activities

IRU Group Meetings

Four core IRU groups, comprising members of the university executive management teams, provide leadership to the network’s strategic development and activities:

  • Vice-Chancellors Group
  • Academic Group
  • Research Group
  • International Group

In addition, senior staff of the member universities have established a number of networking groups for the purposes of knowledge sharing, the conduct of collaborative projects and the joint pursuit of best practice in their areas of interest. These groups include:

  • Indigenous Directors
  • Research Directors
  • University Librarians
  • Human Resources Directors
  • Public Relations and Marketing Directors
  • International Directors

18 June - IRU transnational education forum - La Trobe University
Australian transnational education and training, also known as offshore or cross-border education and training, refers to the delivery and/or assessment of programs/courses by an accredited Australian provider in a country other than Australia, where delivery includes a face-to-face component.

On 18th June IRU members attended a workshop at La Trobe University to share best practice in governance, management and delivery models.
