IRU ERA and the Creative Arts Workshop - November 2009

16 - 17 November 2009
Griffith University

This workshop for IRU members, will enable researchers and policy staff to share their experience of the ERA process to date, and their views on how well it serves the recognition of the creative arts as research endeavour.  The ERA definitions of research in relation to the creative arts, the creative arts research categories, and the approach to evaluating the quality of this research will be discussed.

The intended outcomes of the workshop are to:

  • Assist IRU member universities to refine internal processes based on shared ideas and experiences
  • Provide advice to government on the recognition and evaluation of research quality in the creative arts to inform future ERA exercises.
