IRU Background to Addressing The Standards Agenda
18 July 2012The overarching question for the 2012 Senior Staff Forum is how universities can work effectively with the array of external bodies to create a quality environment that:
- supports innovation and difference; and
- provides a sound basis for acting against bad delivery where it occurs.
The attached document provides a background to the quality
discussions:
A. an outline of the national quality framework and the issues
emerging, intended to stimulate discussion (page 3);
B. the framework of threshold standards, with 125 elements (page
8);
C. the TEQSA risk framework of 48 indicators (page 9);
D. extracts from the Bradley report, and Government and other
Statements concerning the need for, and nature of, the quality
framework (page 11); and
E. the IRU response to the TEQSA Provider Information proposal 25
May 2012 (page 27)
