The Highly Effective Researcher Program

In 2006, with a desire to support Australia's researchers and research career development, IRU provided the initial funding to support a series of masterclasses developed by Hugh Kearns and Maria Gardiner at Flinders University.

Using the latest and best research in education, psychology and management combined with a practical hands on approach, Hugh and Maria have developed an international reputation and now provide their innovative program beyond  the IRU  to other Australian universities as well as leading universities overseas such as Stanford and Columbia in theUnited States, Oxford and Kings College in the United Kingdom, and universities in Ireland, Finalnd, Spain and New Zealand.
