Response to AQF discussion papers. The IRU is pleased to respond to the two AQF papers released for comment. 1. Review of Graduate and Vocational Graduate Certificates and Diplomas in the AQF; and 2. Criteria for determining the addition of a profession permitted to use the alternative title ‘Doctor of’ for the Masters Degree extended.

The Australian Government has released for comment three papers: - Development of Performance Measurement Instruments in Higher Education; - Assessment of General Skills; and - Review of the Australian Graduate Survey. It has also released the report on the development of a University Experience Survey, one of the proposed performance measurement instruments. It is valuable that TEQSA has provided for comment indicative fees for its major services of registration and accreditation. However, the TEQSA statement provides little information about the basis on which the fees are being set. This raises many questions about the nature of the fees and how TEQSA proposes to operate rather than permit a definite response to the fees proposed
